Welcome to Messingham Show 2025, where we have something for everyone! Here's a sneak peek at what's happening at this year's show:
Horse Competitions - This year we have affiliated the showing section with EQUIFEST and the showing and show jumping is registered to ESUK. The private driving section is registered to the British Driving Society. There is a mounted fancy dress with some imaginative costumes as well as gymkhana games.
Live Bands - We are excited to announce that we have brought back the Stage sponsored by Spencer's Garage with some amazing acts into the summer evening. These include Fyrebird, with hits from the swinging 60's right through to todays chart toppers and the ever popular Scrap Yard Dogs bringing their great mix of music for everyone to enjoy, there's something for everyone. So bring your dancing shoes and get ready to sing along to your favourite tunes. The live music will start at 4.45pm and continue until 7.30pm, providing hours of entertainment for all ages. Don't miss this chance to see some of the best local talent at the Messingham Show!
FREE Kids Face Painting- Kids will have a blast at our 4 free face painting stations, where they can get transformed into their favourite animals or superheroes. Our talented face painters will work their magic to create stunning designs that will put a smile on their faces. So bring your little ones to a face painting station and let their imaginations run wild! There even will be a bit of glitter!
FREE Popcorn & Candy Floss for Kids - We have secured a vendor to provide your wonderful children with FREE popcorn & candy floss. Be sure to not miss out.
Feet First Circus Skills- Don't miss Adrian Ley, the interactive children's entertainer who will amaze you with his stilt walking, juggling, odd wheel bikes, and balloon tricks - and get you joining in too!
Band Stand - This year we have jazzed up the bandstand with some more acts including Ancholme Jazz Band, Hope House Choir, Barton Community Band and Ferrers Friends fiddler band the air will be filled with music that will get your toes tapping. Also between 1pm and 1.30pm come and meet our Princesses and Action Heroes
Dowse Funfair returns with exciting thrill seeking rides for little kids and big kids also. We have set the prices this year meaning that no ride will be more than £3 a go.
Alpacas & Friends - Get up close and personal with these adorable animals and their furry friends.
Story Corner - Join us in the story corner in the Community Marquee…Fancy coming on a bear hunt? Bring a book to swap in our fabulous book corner!
Top Bins Challenge - for the Football fanatics, we have the top bins challenge!
100% Entertainment - Prepare to be 100% entertained with 100% entertainment. This year he will be providing a section in the main ring that includes Welly Wanging and an exciting Dog Show! Get your entries in!
Try for your black belt - meet the legendary black belt Master Usher and his team from Messingham Martial Arts and Mini Ninjas will have a stand on the show ground and also be performing in the main ring. Look out for the timetable soon to be released.
Beer tent and prosecco van - Relax with a refreshing beer, prosecco, or gin, while enjoying the festivities.
Community marquee - Visit the marquee to see the various exhibits and displays from the local community and school. With story corner, demonstrations from Messingham Martial Arts, Fun Face painting and Disney Princesses and characters.
The WI - The WI (Women's Institute) Marquee will be in its prime position near the pedestrian gate and bandstand where you can purchase homemade baked goods, crafts, and more, as well as check out the winners in the annual arts, crafts and baking competitions.
Classic cars, Tractors and motorcycles - Car enthusiasts will love the collection of classic cars and motorcycles on display, including new this year, static engines.
Humberside Fire & Rescue - White watch will be visiting so you and the kids can experience what its like to sit in a fire engine.
The Main Ring - Displays this year include Ringside Falconry, Dog and Duck Display, Flyball, Welly Wanging and our new Fun Dog Show for our canine friends to show off their owners.

As well as all the great line up above, we have brought back the free-to-use family picnic tables - Bring your own picnic and enjoy a relaxing lunch at one of our free family picnic tables. Or grab something delicious from one of the many food vans on offer. Please note that alcohol in any volume is not permitted on the premises. Bag searches will take place on entry and re-entry.
Messingham Show Directors and Committee Members are all unpaid volunteers and endeavour to make show day the best experience it can be for visitors, competitors, and traders. We strive to provide a safe and welcoming environment for all with volunteer Stewards, Professional Security Staff, professional Medical Staff, Paramedic Ambulance and on-site Veterinary.
