One Ticket - One Great Day Out!

Messingham Show 2023

Messingham Show returns on Saturday 10th June 2023. We’ve ordered sunshine for this year.

Listening to what you, our community and customers have told us, we have moved the show away from school half term and to a Saturday. We have also changed the show hours to 10am - 9pm to be more family focussed.

We are conscious that the cost of living is affecting us all and so we have kept ticket (wristband) prices as low as we possibly can - £10 adults, £5 children and under 6 free. You can also take advantage of discounts by purchasing your tickets on this website. You can come and go all day so long as you are wearing your wristband correctly. You may bring your own food as a picnic and we are providing free to use picnic tables – plus there will be the usual variety of food to choose from in the food court. The beer tent will be well stocked, and we have a separate Prosecco bar, but we must stress that NO ALCOHOL may be brought onto the showground as this would contravene our licenses and the show could be closed down. We reserve the right for our trained security staff to inspect all hampers, bags etc. for alcohol.

There will be free children’s entertainers, face painting, the Vander Wheel of Death, classic cars and motorcycles, trade stand exhibitions and displays and live music in the event tent and main stage throughout the day as well as the horse events in the two arenas. There will be a fun fair and inflatables.

The show is funded by gate receipts (you), trade stand rent and our generous sponsors. Due to the poor weather and low attendance in 2022 our bank balance took an £18,000 loss. However, our wet weather reserves along with the continued support of sponsors will allow the show to go on in 2023. If the weather is bad again this year the show may become financially unviable so, please support us by attending as the large WI, community, event and beer marquees provide cover during any showers.

We ask that you please sign up to our newsletter and watch our Facebook page as we will be seeking your views on the 2023 show. Please consider that the Show Directors and Committee Members are all unpaid volunteers and not professional event planners / managers. We will consider all views and do our best to meet them subject to the resources available to us - financial and people on the ground on show day.

We look forward to hearing from you and seeing you on 10th June 2023.
