Keep an eye on this page for updates on the starting date for the Build A Scarecrow Competition

We’re keen to see individual families and local groups or clubs enter this fun competition to build the best scarecrow. Entries are welcome from all.

Whatever skills and materials you have to hand will be eligible. As long as the end result fulfils the basic criteria of a scarecrow, one that would scare off birds from raiding the crops around Messingham!

There is no theme so get your creative juices flowing.

Please build and display your scarecrow in your garden ideally showing a sign pointing towards the showground. Be as creative as you like. Once it’s done, please complete the form below and attach a photo of your scarecrow. Also please share it via the Messingham Show Facebook page.

All photos will be displayed in the Community Marquee at Messingham Show.

There will be prize money for 1st - £75, 2nd £50 and 3rd £25

Please be by the Community Tent on show day 7^th June at 2.30pm as you may be a winner!
