PRIVATE CARRIAGE DRIVING
This year sees the welcome return of private driving. The British Driving Society Carriage Driving Classes turn back time and enable us to see the beauty and splendour of traditional horse and carriages as it used to be.
We are pleased to advise we are holding two private driving classes this year for all of our spectators to enjoy. These will take place in arena 1 between 11.00am and 12.15pm.
The first class is for horses and ponies over 4 years old, driven to a traditional vehicle with traditional style springing and carriage lamps. The class will be judged by an experienced local judge from Lincoln.
The second class is the Concours D’elegance, this class will be judged by The Mayor of North Lincolnshire. The sole criteria of this class is the elegance of the picture presented by the both the horse and carriage and their turn out.
The classes are in grass rings which are watered if required with a grandstand available for spectators. The show ground has a mains fed water trough for the horses along with a qualified vet on hand for the duration of the show.
There will be a paramedic ambulance on site for the duration of the show.
We hope these classes will be supported by both local and regional competitors
